2010 in pictures, January - July

For whatever reasons (including my intense frustration level when trying to edit in blogger), I sadly have no posts for an entire year.  To write about it would possibly take all of 2011.  Therefore, pictures and captions will tell some of the story.  We're all another year older.  I am hopefully another year wiser.  We love our life and the people in it.  Looking forward to the challenges and blessings that 2011 will bring.  (Several photos are out of order, and I am both too tired and drained of patience to manipulate this program any longer.)

I'm not sure why we don't have a picture with the Birthday girl?

Mary took us to a big Easter egg hunt
in Hayneville at Chase's aunt's farm.
These are their donkeys.

We had a ball!

most summer days spent here
Not swimming independently,
but we love the water
and can jump into water over our heads
and swim a respectable distance to the person catching us.

John David suffered two fat lips this summer, courtesy of the poolside.

It was a naked summer in our backyard.

Side note:  we watched Peppa Pig episodes on youtube 4,823 times this summer.
If you've seen an episode, you'll understand the side note.

so glad to get all of Thomas's smile here :)

Climbing in our neighbor's (The Marlers) crepe myrtles.
They moved this year, and we were so sad.  :(

This captures what John David did the ENTIRE time he was on the beach.
He scooped and launched sand into the water.
I cannot explain it.

Thomas loved being in shallow, calm waters with his daddy.

Well, we could've guessed as much but didn't see this sign posted
until after being in the water for two days.  oops
